Notes of Orange, Brown Sugar, and Cocoa
Antonio Medina’s journey into coffee began at a young age, when he worked on different coffee farms to learn the craft and gain experience. He had always dreamed of having a coffee farm of his own, and that opportunity came when his father divided the family’s land among his children.
At first, Antonio grew basic crops like corn and beans. In 1991, he planted his first coffee tree and slowly began transforming the land into the coffee farm he had envisioned. Over the years, he continued planting more trees and increasing production, eventually turning a lifelong dream into reality.
His farm, La Colina, translates to “The Hill,” a name chosen by his father for its elevated location. Roughly 35 years after planting his first coffee tree, Antonio credits perseverance for helping him build the farm he once dreamed of having.
